MOST INSURANCE PLANS WILL PAY FOR SESSIONS WITH A REGISTERED DIETITIAN NUTRITIONIST.
I use a platform called Berry Street to check insurance benefits and for scheduling.
If you want to know if your health insurance will cover nutrition counseling, schedule an initial assessment with me through Berry Street.
Depending on your health insurance benefits, this will be a 60 or 90-minute session completed via a HIPAA-compliant video call. To start, you will schedule a 90-minute initial assessment (but it may be adjusted to a 60-minute appointment if your insurance requires).
Once you schedule an initial assessment, intake forms will be emailed to you to complete, which will include providing insurance and payment information. My team at Berry Street will contact your insurance company, determine your benefits, and let you know how many session per year your benefits include and whether or not you will have out-of-pocket costs.
